Research and Development Manager, Institute for Image Data Research, is on secondment from the School of Information Studies, where she has taught for over ten years in the areas of information storage and retrieval, library automation and information networking. Her research interests include the impact of digital images on people, the visual information needs of users and the evaluation of information retrieval systems. Margaret has a degree in Mathematics from London University and a Master's degree in Social Sciences from Durham University.
